    order form?

Hi, i'm struggling with an order form. i'm trying to create a switchboard where the person clicks on a button "create order" which then opens up a new form, allows them so insert multiple orders onto the form and then at the bottom of the form "commit order" and then all the selections go into...

query for last 7 days - mon to mon

Hi Gemma, the reason the weekday is in there is because users only need to edit orders in the current working week and not the last 7 days eg if they looked at the orders on wednesday, they can only edit back to the monday that week and not the last 7 days. the current working week orders are...

query for last 7 days - mon to mon

hi gemma, thank you very much for that and i was going to use something similar to that for dates further back. the users only require to really see back a few weeks without going into too much clicking here and there (its hard dragging them away from single excel spreadsheets!) so i have a tab...

use add record button to add data

hi, thanks for your reply but its not as simple as i probably explained. i have a form that shows 2 combo boxes which do their lookups from a products table. so if a user selects from those combo boxes: combo box1[product] ITEM A & combo box2[size] ITEM B i then need a button underneath...

    silly question?

thank you very much. thats exactly what i was after. bit cheeky, but how would i relate 2 combo boxes eg if for example a bottle of beer comes in 2 sizes 250ml & 330ml and a draught beer comes in 2 sizes 0.5 pint & 1 pint, how would you go about making sure that if the first box combo box had...

    initial database design help

thank you very much for the prompt replies. at the current time, i am considering multiple front ends and a single backend in a hidden share. i envisage having a template of a frontend which i will alter the queries so that site 1 can only extract data that has been entered by site 1. prior to...

    initial database design help

Hi, we are a small company with 10 employees in the office (payroll, accounts, orders etc) and 30 remote sites with 2 full time & 5-10 part time employees per site. all sites are vpn'd into the main office. we've been running weekly excel sheets in which the manager of each site logs on via...

query for last 7 days - mon to mon

nah.... the users are told they have to complete the weeks orders before 10pm on sunday night but that can mean last thing on sunday night to keep things simple. the main office works mon -fri and places the orders on monday only. the remote sites only need to see what they have ordered mon -...

query for last 7 days - mon to mon

hi rabbie, thanks for taking time on this..... i'm trying to figure out how your formula works. "Between Date() and Date()-Weekday(date(),2)+1" and it works like a treat........ but how?

query for last 7 days - mon to mon

would >=WeekdayName(2,FALSE,vbMonday) AND date()-7 work? i see the above as returning values within the last 7 days with a weekday greater than monday.

query for last 7 days - mon to mon

lol.... my heads spinning now. gonna have to look more into the date function i think. all i require is users to be able to see orders back to the begining of work week ie monday

query for last 7 days - mon to mon

trying to think my way around this one. i am in search of a query that will allow users to see what they have ordered within the last week (7days max) which starts on monday of each week eg if they run the query on thurs, they will see mon, tues, weds & thurs and not just 7 days from thurs...

    multiple users and forms

ummm.... i take it, its just a copy and paste into a txtbox using =Environ("UserName") as the control source, just to see the current username. all i get is #name? returned

    multiple users and forms

could you explain roughly how to do this? i'm very raw with this at mo and just trying to think my way through it logically prior to attempting it. the thought of a table with the users stored within it did cross my mind.

    multiple users and forms

thanks for that. the be will be stored on a share so i can't see there being any problems as the fe's will be stored in individual home shares all pointing to the be share. btw, i've not tried this yet.... just thinking it through. so i assume that i want a fe masterfile stored in a private file...

    multiple users and forms

thats a nice method but its probably a little bit over the top for what i'm after. i was thinking more of a backend database with an orders table with multiple frontends, basically all the same apart from a hard coded stamp to say where the order came from and a customized header for each form...
