That was the problem - I should have verified before posting. the three only had "read" not read-write. thanks Paul- Harley_Ken

All users have read/write permissions to the network folder where the BE is located, and I ran the linked table manager to verify it points to the right spot..- Harley_Ken

Multi-user db, created in MSAcess 2003 and 2007. (saved in 2000 format) / DB is split, BE on network drive. XP Professional I created a series of forms for my db.
