    Custom field in a query

Oh wait... almost. It returns the correct information... but any idea why I can't get the dates to display as medium date? I've got all formats set to medium... but it displays as short.

    Custom field in a query

I've got: DUE_MXG: IIf([LOCAL].[GRADE]="MSG" Or "SMS" Or "CMS",DateAdd("m",-1,[proj_eval_close_date]),"N/A") But when I run the query I get the dateadd for all records... even if the requirement isn't met (local.grade="msg" or "sms" or "cms")

    Custom field in a query

Ok... sounds easy enough =/ Right now I have "DUE_MXG: DateAdd("m",-1,[proj_eval_close_date])" But I only want that equation is title=supervisor If title does not=supervisor then I need it to display N/A or something along those lines. Idea?

    Custom field in a query

Can a custom field in a query return 'A' if condition 1 is met and 'B' if condition 1 isn't met? If title="supervisor" then run equation 'x'... if title does not ="supervisor" then do not run equation 'x'. Make sense?

    Combine multiple reports into one...?

My DB tracks quality assurance inspections. Each inspection can have 1, 2, or 3 nonconformities. Accordingly, there are 3 possible reports that can run as the final report. The argument/condition of the final report is formatted such that (noncon1=true and all others are false, open report 1...

Extra page in report... but page size is ok.

Well it's good to hear that I'm not alone. Prior to this VBA nonsense, I had 4 different reports... the review report button that you clicked last night ran a macro to determine which report to open based on the values in the form. I'm just trying to compact things a bit... I figure 1 report...

I'm going home now, too... I'll check back tomorrow... you rock, thanks a million.

Extra page in report... but page size is ok.

Open Forms.Reviews and, in the first record, click on 'Review Report' at the top of the screen... that's the report I'm having trouble with. The nonconformity code for the first record is "N00" so the review report should be 1 page.

No laughing at my database... that's the rule =) If you help, you may laugh... hah.

Extra page in report... but page size is ok.

Good point... I'll do that... I need to figure how to compact it, though.

Extra page in report... but page size is ok.

Can't upload it... sorry. Wish I could... it's 175 MB worth of sensitive info =( I can show you the VBA code, if that could help... it's currently an 'on load' event that determines which fields to display on the report and, therefore, how many pages.

Extra page in report... but page size is ok.

OK. I changed the margins to 0.5"... still 2 pages, though. Could it be the VBA code? I've combed through the code lines a number of times and I'm pretty sure it's correct (a little lengthy, though...).

Extra page in report... but page size is ok.

I couldn't fit the entire design view report in the screenshot... but, below 'correctiveaction2' the cycle repeats itself with 'nonconformity3' and 'correctiveaction3' etc. The page breaks work out to a total of 6 pages if the VBA criteria is satisfied... that is, there are 3 nonconformities (2...

Extra page in report... but page size is ok.

I've got a report that, depending on some VBA criteria, could be 1, 2, 4 or 6 pages. If the criteria is met for the 6 page report, it comes out fine. For any other of the possibilities, however, the report has an additional blank page. I'm using 8.5 x 11 paper with 0.25 inch margins... my...

    Got it... bravo. Thanks!

Group multiple fields for ease of VBA code?

Yes... labels... sorry. Ok, new direction. I can write a line for each item I want to be visible=false if it's null... but after my 'else' line is there a way to say "else don't do anything I just told you to do" as opposed to writing a visible=true line for all of them? :D

Group multiple fields for ease of VBA code?

The black boxes in the report view attachment are covering fields that are not null, they are displaying properly (just covered for privacy)... the fields toward the bottom (Nonconformity #2, RCA Discussion, etc) are null in this case... these are the ones I would like not to appear. Sometimes...

Group multiple fields for ease of VBA code?

To the limit of my ability, yes. Still, I can't find a way to omit the field from the report if it's value is null.

Group multiple fields for ease of VBA code?

Worked... sort of. It doesn't display the null fields... bravo... but it now also doesn't display some other fields that are not null.
