Oh I see what you mean a list of accounts in a dropdown so it would need the record number. I think I need to study it a bit more. Thanks again for your help.

Created a new box with same code but blank box. Strange.

Double checked and all spelling is OK. Checked field types and renamed text box. Now blank box.

I had 1 spelling mistake so now I have a blank box.

Spelling looks OK. I just made a form called trial balance and inserted a text box and used this code. Ledger is table Account field and Amount is money. Running Costs are categories.

Could I make a field for each total and maybe get some sort of query to group them and make the field the total.

Ok..I have about 10 totals to do. Haven’t used dsum before will have a look. It’s a pity excel does it with a formula.
