    ill update again whether i got it right! thanks for the help. namiliam just to clarify. In query design, i add IIF(YourField='MALE',1,0) to one of the field and IIF(YourField='FEMALE',1,0) to another field, Group by the first column and Count the 2nd column. am i right?
