Hi all, I'm a long-time Access dev, mainly working in Banking and Finance for the last couple of decades. I've led a few access dev teams, and been involved with creation and management of SDLCs, a complex task given the built-in controls and restrictions that banks want - eg software libraries, promotion SODs, release management, build control, standards et cetera. Based in Sydney Aust, worked in the UK for a while with Lloyds TSB and NHS. Happy to be joining, hope I can contribute. Jack

Welcome Jack! Sadly my time in Sydney was limited to the airport. We were supposed to have a day there enroute to NZ to visit my daughter. Flight delays screwed that plan up. Hopefully we'll get a chance to visit on a future trip.

Sydney airport is the worst thing about Australia. And the electricity prices, they're the worst thing too. Let's know when you come again. I went to an Access dev conference at Reading when I was over there in 2010, had lotsa fun.

Too right I am. You mentioned AWS in a post on UA the other day, so I hopped in the side-car and headed over.

I'll have to get commission for increasing the AWF membership...

That's at least 2 of you - MikeSmart joined yesterday - maybe there's others I don't recognise.

You will see quite a few people active on both sites
