There are some secrets we like to keep to ourselves!
Yeah it's only been around for almost 20 years, some folks are unaware. If you do go this route install a Ubuntu clone first, that will keeps these mods guessing. :D

What I am surprised by is anyone thinking that 20 minutes is enough time to get complete answers on a forum. There are two year olds with more patience.

There are certainly ways to restrict logins to specific ranges of IPs, that would pretty much snuff out TOR and most IP spoofing.

While IP spoofing or using a VPN may prevent the ISP from seeing what you are doing, it doesn't prevent the VPN from seeing what you are doing. You have to be mindful of that. While some companies claim to never log activity, some have also been busted doing just that.
