help with INDIRECT (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm trying to use the INDIRECT function on a summary worksheet to refer to values on other worksheets that are named after the months of the year. I have to have the year in as well as the month as the summary sheet covers 5 years.

I can get the formula to work no problems in the data sheet is named, for example, July, but if I name it July 2009 or anything like that then it just doesn't work. I played around with the format of the cell to make sure that it doesn't get converted to a date but I just can't get it work - any suggestions?

My guess is that it is beginning to treat like a date. It might be better to label the worksheets with 200901, 200902, etc. That way they can be sorted as needed and fulfill the date requirements.
