Hello everyone. First post here. I have a new laptop with Windows 7 Pro SP1, and have loaded Access 2003 onto it. On my desktop running Windows XP SP3 all the usual ISAMs are installed so I can import / link and export data from and to Excel and csv files amongst others.

In the Win 7 installation, only a very few import / link formats are available and try as I might I can't get to the bottom of how to get data into Access from Excel or csv.

I have some VBA which codes this automatically and I get a 3170 "couldn't find installable ISAM error"

I have looked in the registry and all the usual Jet registry entries with engines and ISAM information is missing.

The convertor dlls are present in c:\windows\sysWOW64 and properly registered.

Any advice / thoughts / tips much appreciated.

Thanks
