Is there a way of preserving the formatting when exporting a report from MS ACCESS to MS WORD?

Cheers

Hi. Can you show us an example? Are you using OutputTo with acFormatRTF?

No its not.
Suggest you do one of the following (from easiest to hardest):
a) export the report as a PDF (but this will be read only)
b) use a mail merge type export to a Word doc e.g. using Albert Kallal's super easy mail merge facility
c) create a Word template with bookmarks which the Access data is used to populate

Although Isladogs solutions are probably your best bet, sometimes you can just "dumb down" your report. In other words if you can reduce the formatting and make your report simple, you may get a useable result. Converting to RTF is like a best guess, the simpler you make it the better the guess.
