Hey guys, just wondering if you could clear a few things up for me.

I'm splitting a database so that multiple users on a network can use it.
I know how to split it both manually and using the wizard.

My questions are:

1. Is the end product different depending on whether you split it manually or through the wizard?

2. If two people are to enter the same information at the same time, will it save as duplicates (even though duplicates aren't allowed). If it won't allow the duplication, will both users get an error or just the one who saves later?

1. I really can’t say because I’ve never used the wizard to split a database; I’ve always done it manually.
In general, if I can do something manually I don’t use wizards.

2. Refusal to accept duplication would be at the high end of reliability for Access.
First in best dressed; everyone else gets an error.

Chris.
