Okay people, looks like we are drawing to a close. We have exactly another 8 days. So by the looks of it, we will be meeting on the most popular date: Saturday, March 29, 2014 12:00 PM

I will message Mark and Bob to confirm if they are coming. So by the looks of it it the people who will be meeting are:
Code:

As I am not sure how to get in touch with Robert, Nilesh and Asif; even though they have expressed an interest.

Now we need suggestion for places ! I have been to London several times, but always with my brother, so have no clue for restaurants. Any suggestions ??!!??

I suppose it depends on where everyone is coming from.

If we meet slightly out of centre and for something slightly different there's the champayne bar at kings Xross

http://stpancras.com/eat-and-drink/searcys-champagne-bar/

Alternatively meet more central in Covent Garden?

I've eaten at Porters before - pretty good

http://www.porters-restaurant.com/

I've heard good things about Five Guys, but menu perhaps a bit basic?

https://www.fiveguys.co.uk/

Further west in Hyde Park there is the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen - but quite noisy and tables are small

http://www.benugo.com/restaurants/serpentine-bar-kitchen

If you fancy chinese, I've eaten at Pearl Laing before, near Paddington station - very good but perhaps quiet on a Saturday, there is a good pub close by - the Union Bar which does OK food and real Ale

http://www.theunionbar.co.uk/index.asp

Another suggestion if you want a bit of Olde London is the Anchor Bankside - looks like it has been modernised a bit from the website, but close to the Globe theatre if you like that sort of thing (I was part of the team that raised money to get it built many years ago)

http://www.taylor-walker.co.uk/pub/anchor-bankside-southwark/p0977/

Anyway, some suggestions, can probably come up with more if we're a bit more focused on where to meet

ciao

CJ

Well I really fancy the Champagne bar. Then again, not sure how it would be serving food, table for at least 6 and all that stuff.

I love Chinese, but the menu seems to be confusing at Pearl Liang. So I would go for either Taylor Walker Or Serpentine Bar & Kitchen. Looks decent enough.

Taylor Walker is traditional English style, if we want something different we can go for Serpentine Bar & Kitchen? I would be happy to go either of the two. How about others?

Pft, sex is over stating it... just topless waitresses and "sexy" drinks.

my preference would be taylor walker - the serpentine has small tables and is very noisy.

Or still think porters is a good venue

Been to the banana place a few years ago - fun place! - had a friend who used to live in Hilversum and I had a couple of clients in Amsterdam around the same time he was living there so had a 'locals' tour!

I'm in London the day before, but travelling there and back in a day so I'm not there on the 29th, or I might have turned up! Have fun ;)
