I'm seeing some changes in "post acknowledgement" behaviors as plog described. Sometimes when I return to the category after a post, it is highlighted in the list and shows my name, i.e. showing a new post to the thread. Other times recently, it does not highlight even though I had just posted something. (But it still shows my name!)
Also, I've had a smattering of cases where it says I am not logged in and therefore doesn't want to post. When I perform a browser cleanup, it gives me the option to clear various things selectively including cookies, and I don't clear them out.
The ability for the site to "know" me is based on cookies. The ability for the site to know what was just posted or updated is ALSO based on cookies. I know this, not because I know how AWF works, but because I understand how http and https protocols work, based on my Navy contractor career and study of security issues. So I'll add that I have not changed my browser's cookie acceptance settings in over a year, but this change of behavior started more recently. I have updated my browser's version when it says a new version is ready, but no other site exhibits any changes like this.
The only other changed factor in this equation is therefore the upgrade of the site from http to https, and the issue is probably in the way that the site is using its cookies. That is because the main difference between http and https is related to the encrypted or non-encrypted nature of the network connection. The usage and nature of cookies does not vary between http and https, as far as I can recall. (They do, however, have the potential to vary according to how each individual site's code stores/requests cookie data.)
