Text file imports with quotes

Hello everyone -

I am trying to import a .csv file into an Access 2007 database.

The problem I am encountering is that when the information is imported to the table in the database, the data in the fields is all enclosed in quotation marks.

Is there a way to eliminate the quotes on import or a way to easily remove them once they are in the table?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Text file imports with quotes

I tried searching for a similar thread before posting and didn't find anything. Of course, almost immediately after posting, I found one.

I used the Replace function to remove the quotation marks and it works perfect!

I apologize for the extra post.

Re: Text file imports with quotes

ideally you want to look at the way the csv is produced. I expect the " characters are already in the csv.
