Import from Excel (1 Viewer)

Are there means to allow Access to ignore a text string in an Excel cell that's intended for a numeric field in Access during an import using the import wizard?

The numeric field is defined as numeric, single, fixed, 3 to truncate extraneous digits from a datalogger.
