I have been able to lock down my database by setting the database to open to a form that has a custom ribbon assigned to it that I have disabled the Options button on the File tab (as well as all the other tools I don't want them to get to).
I have linked SQL tables in the database, so as the database opens it first presents the SQL login dialog box. If a user simply clicks the X in the far upper right corner to close it, the database opens with the default ribbon that allows the user into all the tools I want to keep them out of.
Is there any way to put something in to tell the system to close the database if the connection fails? Any other ideas?
