You are a bunch of sheep, all you can do is bleat, "BAAAD, BAAAD" as an all-too-predicatable reaction to my posts. I make no apology for being young and wild. The forums were in a state of stagnation when I arrived here and I infused them with new life, my life, my jizzom. Does that make me a "Bad Man" or a "jizzing idiot" or what? The question is:

Leo = Bad Man?

Mostly I have just seen you rant. Nothing I wanted to comment on.

As long as you dont make personal insults to other members I don't give a flying as to what you post...

You have added some vibrancy into the forum though, I'll give you that..

You and NFK should get together for a Rant Off... that I'd pay money to see...lol

Leo = Bad Man?

This would give you a syntax error. Should be

Code:
Leo = "Bad Man?"

This will return "Bad Man" plus any single character, though I'd be careful with the wild cards myself. Best to try for an exact match. At least your only matching on one wild character though.

On behalf of all members at AWF, I'm sure all would agree that we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to Leo for gracing us with his presence here at AWF

He has truly enriched the forum in numerous ways:
- expertise in Access
- empathy to others
- tact & diplomacy
- extraordinary levels of modesty
- explaining the best way to address your clients in a public forum (poor sucker if I recall correctly)
- sharing details of his diet, taste in music, prescription drug use and relationships
- providing his Grindr photos (now if only I was gay ....)
- teaching us a new word in Polish each week
- singling me out for particular attention and praise
(I was almost jealous when he transferred his attentions to Galaxiom!)

I'm sure we'd all agree that before he joined AWF, the forum was indeed close to dying
Very few questions were being asked and the expertise of those answering was very low.
Its amazing what a difference one person can make in such a short time!!!!

But then we are all 'cretins' as Leo has just described us at another forum:
http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=69797

I wish him luck in his future career
I hear there's a vacancy for a mediator to Donald Trump & Kim Jong Un

Perhaps the thread title should really be: Leo = Sad Man

Oh - I had completely "forgotten"
Leo kept telling us how he blocked me so it seems he won't read any of this - SAD!!!

Guys, think about the source of this next line:

Stop feeding the troll. :p

ETA: I did get a chuckle out of him hoping that the two people who helped him with his issue rot in hell for their troubles.

Particularly since the two people who helped him at AccessForums.Net are also members of this group.

Leo is an abuser. I can see it. But I refuse to care. I wish him well only because there is no point in damning his soul to perdition. We atheists don't do that sort of thing since we know there is no soul and no "perdition" for such condemnation. It is a side effect of being non-religious, I guess. You know you have no say in the matter, but it is SO very satisfying to be able to tell someone they are going to Hell. When of course, the truth is usually that if you are such a bad person, you are living in an Earthly hell already.

Heck, I like feeding trolls. I get some of my best opportunities for excoriation there.

I would Dim the variable first...
Code:
   Dim Leo As String
Leo = "delightful ray of sunshine"
hth

Mark,

With Leo, I figured the Dim was implicit.

Surely that's an oxymoron - a ray of sunshine is bright so cannot be dimmed :)

And he uses a regional spelling of it at that. But let's not debate the purity of his essence.

<Military music playing muted in the background, "When Johnny Comes Marching Home," as Sterling Hayden pulls a .50 cal machine gun out of his golf bag and Group Captain Mandrake quickly ducks.>

And if you don't get the reference, the character in question, General Jack D Ripper, was ALSO certifiable and worried about his ... essence.

Strange how you love certain scenes in those classic old movies!

His apparently deep and abiding love of jizz is especially interesting considering the whole NoFap thing, not to mention the 'gays are immoral monsters' thing.

Yeah, sometimes one is led to believe that the gentleman doth protest too much.

Overcompensation?

I've stayed out of this until now, but I do not like anyone misrepresenting themselves.

From his website http://databasedesignsolutions.com.au/#about

  • You'll get a qualified and enthusiastic IT trouble-shooter and database designer
  • You'll get an expert Microsoft Access, MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server problem-solver
  • You'll pay prices that undercut the competition with better results
  • Your IT headaches will disappear!

Seriously?

Strange how there is nothing there about professionalism or integrity.
