I have a database (split) I developed using Access 2000 (Office Professional). I installed it in a lap top that has Office Prosessional 2002 and am encountering several problems: 1) The shift-key bypass does not work; 2) My application uses an access wizzard switchboard. With the lap top, when I open a form from the switch board and subsequently close it, Access closes; 3) When I just open Access in the lap top, I get none of the standard tool bars. (I don't know if I caused this). This has to be something obvious that I just cannot see. Thanks in advance for your help.

Any missing references? The default for acXP is ADODB. Do you use DAO and not disambiguate?

This application uses ADODB. At the risk of appearing even more confused, I do not know what disambiguate means. It sounds like I need to know though. Any idea what reference I could be missing? Thanks.

Disambiguate seems to be an Access word for specifying your library.
Dim Rs As ADODB.RecordSet
instead of:
Dim Rs As RecordSet

While viewing a code page go to Tools>References and see if any of the REferences have MISSING next to them. Just uncheck them if there is one and then compile again.

Thanks for the tip and the education RuralGuy. There is no ambiguity issue and viewing the code in my computer, I found no missing references. It will be tomorrow before I can look at it in the lap top.
