3 Combo box

I've three combo box that displays data base on what is chosen. I was able to do it on the 1st and 2nd combo box. I can't seem to make it work on the 3rd.

Sorry guys. It's a cascading combo box. I know how to do two(2) but having a third combo I can't make it work.

cat1
cat2

Group
group1
group2

Item
Item1
Item2

If I choose cat1 it should only display group1 and then Item1 else if I choose cat2, group2 and item2 would be selected.

Can you show the SQL for the queries underlying each combo box? It may be easier to post the database.

The only way anyone here can troubleshoot your code is if we can see it. You either need to show us the code behind your three comboboxes or Zip up and attach your database to a post here.

Any time you do this you need to also tell us what version the database is developed in.

This is done in access 2003

Your combo 3 is working fine except just remove this line from the after update events:

' Me.Make = Me.Make.ItemData(0)


You don't want those.

The other reason why it LOOKS like it isn't working is that in your tblMake you don't have enough values to be able to select for the different combinations.

Okay, you had an extraneous field in tblMake and you had the wrong column widths for the third combo so you were not showing anything. See attached revision of your database.

Oh, also you don't want the =Null part in the After Update events either as that will screw up your data being stored.
