You can have 3 subforms.

What are you trying to connect the subs to the main with.

This could be where your problem lies.

I would think that all three subs would have a Foreign Key to the Primary Key of the Main.

I have made a few assumptions here. If you could post a pic of your relationships of just these four tables we might see the problem.

I would be looking for the relationships as I previously spoke about.

heres the relationships

Before I continue. Don't use Spaces or Special Characters in the Naming of your objects. e.g. +=)(*&^%$# etc.

-----------------------------------------------------

If Documents is your Main Form you can link all the subs Via Document ID.

I can't see where you are having problems.

If you can't work it out can you post a cut down version of your Database and I will have a look.

For now I have to go. Someone else most likely step in to help but if not I will get back to you tomorrow.

i know its bad pratice to name things like that. however this is just a concept database not the real thing. also im the problem im having is i dont know how to insert a sub form into a form. i have used the wizard to create a form with one subform in however that will not allow me to create the 3 subforms.

Are you using the Toolbox Menu.

Sounds as though you aren't.

The Toolbox Menu allows you to insert various objects, like Text Boxes, Labels, Combo Boxes, Rectangles etc.

you wouldnt believe that i was i just completely missed the option to insert a sub form. I'll put that down to sleeplyness. thanks a lot tho
