9-digit random # generator

Hi,

I would like to create a 9-digit random number generator in Excel 2003.

I am thinking this:

=rand()*999999999

However, this does not guarantee uniqueness.

Does anybody have some thoughts?

Try this:
=RANDBETWEEN(100000000,999999999)

A random number is generated but repeats are possible without the function knowing which numbers have already been used.

Check the random number generated against a list of numbers already allocated and try again if it is already used.
