a basic homework question

In a query in design view,

Display only the products eligible for a discount (Discount field is yes/no) but not the discount field itself.

Field in query are ProductID, ProductType, and Price

Display in a calculated field 5% discount of the price

I know how to add fields but need help with the criteria.

Try unchecking the (show) Field that is of Yes/No type and under the criteria place True.. That should filter the result that is only discount applies but not show the checkbox in the result..

To show the calculated field In a new column type this

Discount: [Price]*0.05

If the discount is 5% or if you wish to show the price after discount use..

Discount: [Price]*0.95

You may wish to round the above (and use a custom round function like in http://access.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0054.htm if you don't want to use Access's 'bankers' round)
