A little problem [RESOLVED]

I have tables- 15letters, clerk, and i have a report.

Clerk contains, a name and an associated picture. 15letters also contains clerk.

In my report, i have the main details from 15Letters, along with the picture from clerk.

This report was already set up so i didn't want to go adjusting everything.

The problem is, i want to say, if the clerk in the report = a certain name (there can only every be four) then show that picture else show the other picture. I am having problems doing this.

can someone help me out? I tried in vbeditor.

Doing if clerk.value = "john' then
' dont know how to say show that picture

The "Clerk" table should contain a ClerkID and a ClerkName and a ClerkPicture.

Your "15Letters" table should also contain the ClerkID. These should be linked in the relationships.

Your report should be run by a query with both the tables as the source so you can select the fields from both tables. If they are linked correctly, you will always get the correct picture.

I adjusted the report. Added clerk and picture from clerk table.

I said where clerk.clerk = 15letters.clerk and it worked.

cheers
