AC2010: Why charging the form is so long ?

I just take the application in VBA Access 2010 from a personn who leave the society.

When I activate the button that load a form of a part, it last at least 2 minutes.
The form is just showing the first part.
Then, on the form i see 4 buttons to go on the previous, the next, the first and the last record.

I am not used to developped in VBA Access. How can i be sure that what I say is certain ?

Is there a easy way to put a filter on the loading of the form just to have the first part ?

Will I have to put a code behind the 4 buttons to go on the previous, next, first and last row ?
