Hi all

I'm working in Access 2000 for the first time and all was well until I introduced a wizard-created Switchboard. I created the Order Entry database using the Access wizard and copied the Switchboard form and tables into my database.

Since then I keep getting the following message:

"Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost."

I've Compacted and Repaired but still keep getting the message. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Maybe the new switchboard is looking for a network drive which does not exist?

Check the new Switchboard form for where it is trying to attain its information, via the poperties maybe it is pointing to a non existing network connection.

The other thing it might be is has the databse been moved across from one network drive to another? In which case the forms and all thier properties will be trying to access the old network drive connection.

If you are not running it on a network share at all, then maybe you should thoroughly check the new switchboard form for any reference to a non network share in its properties.

Good Luck

Thanks to both for your replies.

The other thread was interesting and it's good to know I wasn't being daft.

Many thanks
