Hi Folks,

I am not sure if this can be done but if it can could someone please point me in the right direct?

I have one form that the user fills in; what I need is depending on the entry selected in a combo box is to have either a sub form or another form to open where further details can be added.

Either way I am not sure how to link the records together.
For example.
If the selection in combo box is 123 then this needs to open one form/subform with extra fields for completing but the information needs to be stored in the same table as the main form and if the selection in combo box is ABC then this to needs to open another form/subform.

If the details need to be stored in a seperate table I would need to link them in the report so all the details print out together.

Each selection in the combo box needs its own form to open.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards

Spike

Spike,

You should be able to do come up with a UI to do what you need.

I would use sub forms to get the additional information. Use the combo box to select the required sub form.

I like to use a Wizard style form to handle this.

See:

Wizard Form template

Hope thsi helps ...
