Hello, I'm hoping someone will be able to throw some light on this problem.
I have created some Word 2007 templates which mail merge with data from an Access 2007 database. Within the database I have links to open the these templates which in turn merge the data ready for printing.
When I open the database with the shift key held down, to bypass the startup options, everything works correctly but as soon as I open the database normally and try opening a template another instance of Access and the database starts and wants attention. This normally wouldn't be an issue but the query that passes the fields to the Word template is supplied with data from an open form from the originally opened database so the new instance wants to know the CaseID number which would have been supplied.
I'm totally baffled why it works in my tests but not in production. I'm guessing it has something to do with the startup options but can't see anything that would create this problem.
Any help would be greatefully received.
Richard
