Access 2013 - Internet connection

Hi all,

I'm using Access 2013 and encountered a rather annoying feature.

When my internet is connected and the connection is poor, Access is dog slow and rather sporadic - crashing randomly and taking ages to load even the most basic forms.

If I turn the internet off all together it behaves nice and snappy.
(I'm not using any web forms - or require any internet access for the DB at all, its all local machine based at the moment)

Anyone else seen this?

Is there a reason that it would do this, or does it just hate me?

Is your PC on a network or standalone at home? Do you have any anti virus software running that may be checking internet activity, email etc? Is your PC trying to download or install windows updates?

Check these.

Hmm, well, its a work laptop, so it normally tells me when its installing updates.
As for Anti Virus - hmmm, I have no idea - will have to look at it in more detail.
