Hello everyone

I have an issue with access97 when installed on a windows XP pro sp2 machine. I am constantly getting errors from the vba332.dll module and access shuts down on me. This happens even if I try to go to tools - options on the main menu bar. If any one has encountered this before please help!

This is what I get in the application log:

Faulting application msaccess.exe, version 8.0.0.5903, faulting module vba332.dll, version 3.0.0.6908, fault address 0x000b6614.

MKIV18 - I had a similar problem with my Access2003 database (which I converted from 97 format) and read somewhere earlier today that these issues are the result of tightening up on security in WinXP SP2. I suggest that you jump onto M/Softs Knowledge Base and see if you can find info that specifically relates to the issues that you are experiencing.

I checked on MS KB already and they have no articles relating to this problem. I would have thought it would be vba code related in my db. BUT this also happens if I create a blank db with nothing in it, go to Tools - Options and then it crashes giving me the message in the application log referring to the vba332.dll module faulting

Hmmm - Sorry mkiv18t
I thought that I was pointing you in the right direction cos I managed to solve my issue like that. But it was a different DLL.
Maybe a more experience user on this forum can shed some light on the matter?
