I've been considering creating an access db for my personal finances.
Is it possible with access?
Should a user like me, who isn't very versed in vb, consider such a venture.
Are there any examples I might find?
Nothing elaborate. just something to track checking and credit card expenses.

Any help will be appreciated.

personally, i would just use a spreadsheet. access is excellent for the project, but it's not easy for a beginner, and it depends how nuch work you want to do.

I'm trying to get away with not having to pay for financial software and figured since I'm already use access why not use it.
Are there any free spreadsheet programs out there?

i am not sure how advanced you need it to be.

a basic spreadsheet to do this could be quite simple, which is why i thought learning access just for that might be a bit over the top. but it depends how complex you need it to be.

if you want to learn access, then this would be as good a project as any, i expect.
