Has anyone had problems with Access being used over a VPN? I can create a database, populate it with data, edit, change etc but once I close the database, I have problems when I try to reopen it. Every command given is not actioned and I receive not responding messages.
Has anyone experienced this and found a way to solve the problem?

I had experienced the low speed which let me always waiting. becuase there will be a lot network traffic during the access.exe running. when I copy the file from the server to my local PC, and finished the update, then copy it back to the server again. it is more faster than I update it directly on the server.

A better way to use an Access database than using a VPN is to use server running Terminal Services. Many people on this forum including myself have had a lot of success doing this.

Thank you for your tips! will pass on to our IT support - there may be something they may have missed - they have only been trying to get this to work for over three months!
