ACCESS Linking

I use ACCESS to link to Data Flex tables in our accounting software. To do so we use an ODBC driver called CONNX32. The link is extablished as I can successfully view tables in the design mode but not the Open mode. I get an error message in the open mode saying microsoft access has encountered a problem. In the design mode I can easily see the structure of the table. Help please!!
