Access Security Issue...

I recently created a db for use by several people around the office.
i then secured this database by creating a work group and users etc.
problem is, i now have to "logon" even to create a new db, and so do other users who have joined this workgroup.
Is there any way to make that workgroup "active" for only that 1 db?
Failing that, how do i remove the security altogether, as its causing me real grief!
Any help appreciated.
