Active form view

Can anyone tell me how to make my active form come to the top? I have a button I click on that opens a new form but the main form always stays on top and will not let me click off it

can only close it to see the form I want

Sounds like your main form is set as a Pop Up form. Try setting the Pop Up property of the form to No.
