Hi.

This is my first post here and the main reason why I created the profile.
I'm working with a Access 97 database in my company and need to add a static reference line in the report - a bar graph - generated with the built in Microsoft Graph.

The report (chart/graph) runs based on a table with pH values and I need to show a line with value 9, let's say, over the bars representing the pH value on each period of time. An average is not my goal, because the value is static and independent from the table values.

I can't find a way to achieve that. Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Thiago.

Access 97 (hopefully) demo attached.

Three reports:-
Bar
Column
Line

All operating off same data with two absolute lines on each. Not pH but could be anything.

Converts to Access 2003 okay. (Don’t know about Access 2007 or 2010)

Hello again.

I tested the demo and it's exactly what I'm trying to do, even more in fact, because it establishes two reference limits. It appears that coding through the "Detail_Format" event is the only way to acomplish that. I'll look into it with more care later and adapt it to my database.

Thank you, ChrisO, for the quick answer and neat solution.

Thiago.
