Add file path to record

I am creating a new interface from an old DB, I need to add a link to a pdf file on a record, on the previous DB I had this fully functioning code

I have copied the code to the DB Interface but When running the ADD cmd I get an error on the this part of the code "ahtAddFilterItem" the error is Compile Error - Sub or Function not defined
I believe I have to activate some modules but not sure...
 
I have copied from the previous DB which works perfectly, don't know why it is not working now!

i believe what you posted is dependent upon the rest of it.
 
Do you've the procedures/subs "ahtAddFilterItem" and "ahtCommonFileOpenSave" + the additional code?
 
You must have the procedures/subs as I mention in your previous DB, you need to copy them into this database.
It is more and less the same as moke123 wrote about the complete function.
No you're a not really a newby with over 400 posts. :rolleyes:
 
Thanks....I managed to sort it....however I got a little glitch...
Once I have selected the file to add to the link record and the browse window closes the file path is not displayed, I would need to close the window and reopen it to see the record populated with the file path.
I believe I need an after update command somewhere...
 
so i'm assuming you have a textbox on a form and you want to click a command button, navigate to a particular file, select it, and have the path to that file populate the textbox. I'm not familiar with your function but the one i use for that is... (Put the code below into a stand alone module and give the module a unique name)
