Adding a command button to link 2 forms/tables

I am trying to update an older access (2002/2003) database to 2007. I have a Form [availableInventory2007] that i enter vehicle info into. I then want a button that will open a seperate screen [Equip2007] and allow me to ck boxes for the equipment for THAT particular vehicle. My form AvailableInventory2007 automatically numbers each new car. I want my equip form to do that as well. for some reason when i try to do a command button, i get NO INFO on available inventory 2007 side to link. When i try to manually set the links.. it doesnt seem to work or save info. I am uploading a copy of my file in case someone can help me. There are a lot of tables, queries and forms... i am trying to update the 2007 ones. The existing form taht works.. is available inventory 2002, it has a tabbed sheet with equip .. when you start entering it unlocks the equip. I am tryin to do a similar thing with the 2007, but a new form not a clumsly tabbed sheet. Thanks,!

please i want to add a save button in my access form so as to save new entries on clicking on the save button and bringing out a new record for me.
