Hi

I've created 2 form.
Form 1 from a table
Form 2 from a query.

I want to make form 2 a sub form in form 1 - Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I asked Access halp and it told me to click the build button and follow the wizard but a wizard doesn't pop up rather I get a box with 3 options 'Expression Builder', 'Macro builder' and 'Coder builder' and I don't know what to do with any of these.

Many thanks for your help.

You have to position your form in design mode in such a way that you can click into the database window.

Click into the database window to bring it to the front, click on the title of the form you want as a subform, hold down the button and drag it onto your form and Access will insert it as a subform.

Hi

thanks that worked. However there's a problem; form 2 is a continuous form (a list of 25 questions and 25 answer boxes). I dragged this into form one and now form 2 isn't dispaying as continuous but rather only one question and one answer field is appearing - any idea how I can get the sub form to appear continuous (ie get all the questions and answer boxes appear) when nestled in form one. Form 2 (sub form) dispays just fine when on it's own.

thanks

Either the format property got changed to single form or you just need to maximize your main form and resize the subform within to get all of the records to show.

Hi

" maximize your main form and resize the subform within to get all of the records to show."
Did this and it doesn't make any difference.

""the format property got changed to single form"

Form 2 = subform, set to continuous form and appears as continuous when view as its own form
Form1 = main form and is set to single form.

I drag form 2 into form 1 and form two ceases to behave like a continuous form. It appear a subform cannot behave as a continuous form??

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Don't really know what the problem could be. All I can suggest is for you to zip and post a scaled down copy of your database with just the necessary components for your forms.
