Adding calculated fields

I am trying to add a calculated field in a form which will calculated VAT on a price. I have added a Text Box and included the following:

VAT:CCur([price]*0.175)

But I'm only getting "#Name?" when I return to the main view.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Access 2003 btw

Put your calculation in the underlying query instead. Then bind your control to that field and lock it.

of course putting it in a query will be best.

if you want it only on the form then it should be something like this:

=[Price]*x

where x is your Vat factor

#name refers to the fact that the column [Price] cannot be found in the recordset you are using.
