To paraphrase Queen, "Another one bites the dust." But at age 74, even though he might have had a few more years in him, you can't say he was cut short in his prime.

TBH, I didn't follow his music much. When he was most popular, I was severely distracted by family issues and a new job (long before the Navy job). But he could, indeed, belt out those notes when needed.

It was the raw POWER that intrigued me, like a male version of Tina Turner. His lyrics were pretty awesome too...when he played Hot Potootie and Bless My Soul in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, it made that crazy movie all the much better!

It is now coming out that Meat Loaf may have become infected with COVID and died due to respiratory distress - which in a person of his age can be quite overwhelming. It has not been discussed, but you have to now wonder if he was an anti-vaxxer. His choice, of course, but it still makes me wonder.
