Annual Leave(vacation) Relationships

Hello!

I've been trying to create an Annual leave calendar database (struggling a bit) I'm try to set up a database for people who work shift and annual leave is calculated in hours? I’ve set up a database that has general data; next of kin etc., but want to add the holiday/sick days to this. I've found a thread on here where they have made a calendar on days, but need it in hours instead.

Anyone have any idea which is the best way to start the relationship & query, or have a basic DB set up that can get me started at all?

Yes, starting from scratch and building up gradually you'll need:-

Calendar table with the following Fields

Holiday Year; Quarter; Month; Week; Date

Employees table:-

Employee ID; Name; Std Daily Hours; etc

Holidays Booked table (this is where the holidays are stored):-

Date; Employee ID

Thereafter you can link these tables in a Query via Employee ID and Date
