Teenagers actually aren't idiots. They are merely walking, grunting (but rarely actually talking) clouds of billowing hormones distracted by the first thing that impacts a really short attention span. Eventually they grow out of it. Just about the time that the parents have gone grey trying to deal with their nonsense.
