archiving system

Hello all,
I have a task that I could not complete without your highily expected help.
I am trying to develop an access database for archiving my files and folders with the following features:
0. Item field for naming the item and a field for description
1. time/date of item addition - auto determined based on access date and time
2. Added by. The user should be automatically determined by using a log in screen. For example, a user with ID: jackoo can added an item to the archieve and his ID will attach to the attached file.
3. Browse button for adding files
4. Paste button for pasting links and if possible a meaning text instead of hyperlink. The text should be clickable.

That's it!
I have done some of it but I am stuck with 2, 3 and 4.

Anywho.

Why are you using an access DATABASE to zip files?

Why not make a VB application?
