I've got an unbound combo control on a form to be used as a name drop-down listing. The "ID" is an autonumber type, the name is text, however, it blows up at use: "Compile error: Variable not defined" on the dbInteger. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Private Sub cboFindIt_AfterUpdate()
On Error GoTo ErrorHandler
Me.FilterOn = False
If Not IsNull(cboFindIt) Then
Me.RecordsetClone.FindFirst BuildCriteria("ID", dbInteger, cboFindIt)
Me.Bookmark = Me.RecordsetClone.Bookmark
cboFindIt = Null
txtName.SetFocus
Else
MsgBox "Select whose information you want to view.", vbOKOnly, "Nobody selected..."
End If
ExitHere:
Exit Sub
ErrorHandler:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume ExitHere
End Sub

do you have your reference to DAO?

dbInteger belongs to DataTypeEnum... which is found in the DAO Object Library... goto Tools => References and make sure you have this selected

You're suggesting the Microsoft DAO 3.5 Object Library? Or 3.6? Or something else?
