Associate a form with other forms data?

Hi all,

Was wondering if somebody could answer this one.

I have a form and want to create a popup form to enter customer contact name which will then be saved to the current records

form names and fields
MainFrm
BookingNumber

CollectContactFrm
BooingNumber
ContactName

I have created a button to open the CollectContact form on the Main form
but when this opens it simply creates a new record and I need this contact to have the same booking number

Have a look at the OpenArgs property of the DoCmd.OpenFormhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa141520(v=office.10).aspx command. The OpenArgs, can be used to pass information from the calling Form to the From being Opened. You can use the On Load event on the Form being opened to check the OpenArgs and then use the information being passed.
