Hi all,

I have a lot of automated email in a database with the body of the email written in the VBA code. It suits me fine but I'm the only person who can update the text of the email.
I've been looking at putting the text into Word which I have working just fine… BUT the content of the email is no longer dynamic.
Does anyone know if/how to use a Word document as an email body but still have variables within it (such as dates, names, exchange rates)?
Or is there another way altogether I've not considered?

Many thanks

I have a bunch of prepared emails. For each, the text (=body) is created/modified by the users and is held in a rich text memo field. The users know that a certain number of placeholders are available. A placeholder is text in square brackets, such as [RecipientName]. The text of the email is prior to sending parsed by the system, and the placeholders are replaced by the corresponding data from the db.
