Hello,

I would like to know if there is anyway to apply formatting to a text box.

The scenario, I have a form which employees enter information into (amazing, I know!)

The thing is, they really like using the CAPS LOCK when inputting. Which is really annoying and also makes reports and mail merges look silly.

Any way to just default to, for example, "John" no matter whether the user inputs "JOHN", "jOHN" or whatever?

Regards,

In the Before Update event of the text box put:

Me.YourTextBoxNameHere = StrConv(Me.YourTextBoxNameHere.Text,3)

Hey Core,

I am a super beginner at Access and just recently solved that problem, so I thought I would give you the beginners solution. The attachment with this post has modules in it that will not only convert your names to Propercase, but also adjust for names like McDonald (automatically capitalize the letter after "Mc".)

I downloaded it from some other thread on this site and it works like a charm!
