auto number start position

I have an AutoNumber field in a table that starts at 1 but I want it to start at 8251 as it continues on from an existing application, is this possible to do please?

ok, i must be missing something, i have looked at the links and the code option is a bit beyond me so i tried the append query but i keep getting the same error message
Duplicate output destination
Any ideas please?
