Hey Guys,

I have a client with a website that someone else (annoying) has linked to via his own website trying to affiliate himself with the organisation. The client doesn’t want anything to do with him.

Is it possible to autoclose our webpage if the user comes via his website?

I'd e-mail the webmaster of the site and ask them to remove the link they should do it if you ask politely.

You could ask your ISP to help, they may have a way to do this as it’s not an easy thing to do as unless he has actually using an affiliate or proper sponsor link which your client has to approve (or allow in the first place) people will simply be directed to his website by their ISP (i.e. anyone’s ISP).

If they don’t comply then he can be more threatening and if he has to, threaten to take legal action but it might be worth him putting an official legal notice up on the web site under terms and conditions (which he should have for a business site :p ).
