I've built a table with 5 colums. In one of the columns, I put in a numeric value (the column is a text). I'll type a "1" in the colum. On the next row, when I get to the same column, I'll put in a "2". When I get to the third row same column, it puts in a "3". This continues on down the line. Any ideas on why this happens and how I can turn it off?

Thanks!

Well...

Technically, entering directly into a table is poor form, because you don't get nearly the amount of control over your users' data entry, no code modules, limited validation of data entered, etc.

You might try a form based on your table in Datasheet view, though from what I remember you'll get this "helpful" attribute there too. It is probably related to the AutoCorrect Option from what I recall (I had the same problems with 1999 ,2000, 2001...)

Good luck,
